A glimpse into what has gone into building AmBelle

HOW IT STARTED

The journey of AmBelle began with our own experience of peri-post menopause. Living through these changes helped us truly understand how deeply hormonal shifts affect a woman’s skin. As we explored emerging scientific research on synthetic estrogen and plant estrogens in skincare, we began searching for solutions that could genuinely support skin during this phase.

THE EXPLORATION

What we found in India, however, felt incomplete. Store shelves were filled with anti-aging creams and serums focused almost entirely on wrinkles. Hydration meant one product. Pigmentation meant another. But skincare that addressed the root cause of hormonal change simply didn’t exist.

THE DECISION

So we chose to create what we couldn’t find. We collaborated with expert skincare formulators to source plant estrogen and develop unique formulations for the range of skin concerns that hit us in midlife with estrogen decline. Thoughtful, science-led skincare designed to support women’s skin as it changes, not just mask the signs of time.

When I hit menopause, my skin turned dry because of estrogen deficiency. Whatever moisturisers I used were barely effective. When I educated myself about skincare for menopause, I came across plant estrogens as a potential solution but there were no brands around me that provided this benefit. That’s how AmBelle was born. We worked with cosmetologists to formulate the right products first for ourselves, and then went ahead with manufacturing on a small scale.

My entrepreneurial journey in the beauty space spans to over a decade. I’ve spent years listening to women and understanding their skincare journeys. Through interactions with women over 40, I saw a clear gap in products that truly address the needs of mature skin. Ambelle was created to bridge that gap with thoughtful, effective plant-based formulations. Ambelle is our commitment to caring for skin that reflects confidence, strength, and grace.
